Online poker has become globally celebrated as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years numerous variants on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling blackjack than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the casino rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little conniving or different types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the croupier saying "No more bets." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course every one of the other gamblers acquire five cards each. After you have observed your hand and the dealer’s first card, you have to either make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s value is on same level to your original bet, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your bet goes immediately to the bank. After the bet is the face off. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, including a sum in accordance with the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The house pays out chips equal to your wager and set odds on your call wager. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
