Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards face up and the dealer is dealt seven cards face down.
One 5 card hand and a 2 card hand have to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the casino’s.
