Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old origins. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the eastern with the west in a great game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player against the croupier, not like the majority of other poker games that players bet against other gamblers. By competing against the dealer, beginner players don’t need to be concerned about other, more knowledgeable gamblers winning their mulla.

An additional Pai Gow benefit is the generally slow game play, newcomers should be able to take their time and strategize while not needing to make hasty choices.

It’s also easier to play for a long time with just a tiny bit of money seeing as, to lose, both of your hands must be under both of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the regular 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is assigned seven cards faces showing and the casino gets seven cards face down.

A five card hand and a 2 card hand need to be put together from the seven cards, the 5 card hand must be better than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be better than the houses.
